William Chow's Personal Web Page

The year is 1989.

Below I have some of the photos of great times that were had. Feel free to click on the thumbnail to enlarge it.

My San Francisco and San Deigo Vacation HERE.

Battison House

Here is a picture of what my first basement suite looks like. It is quite a mess of posters, electronics and compters. Note the UBC Personal Computer Club poster on the door, to date this picture.

Here is Daisuke passed out on the couch. It was a favourite past time of my friends after a long day at school doing classes. Note the small modest collection of Japanese Animation tapes, and the milk crates full of Anime artbooks.

Here is Ron in the kitchen doing the other favourite past time, mooching my food. Fortunately, I never did keep much food in the fridge, and people didn't drink a lot of the stuff I liked anyway.

Me beside one of the only large scale pictures that I drew, Lynn Minmei.

As you can see, my video collection sprawls all the way to this end of the main room.

On the other side of the wall, in the kitchen, is a slightly smaller picture of Ayukawa Madoka.

"Ahhhh!!!! The light!!! "

Daisuke in another late night session of homework.

"AHHHH!!! The horror!!!"

Ron showing off his goods.

Biker Ron, just can't get enough of his new bike, as he demonstrates that it isn't that hard to lean on a bike. Of course, it helps when the bike isn't moving. Also helps when the bike is actually a chair....

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving Dinner, this year I was not going to be at home so I invited all the guys over for dinner. We had (starting rightmost going clockwise) Sheldon Yip, Wai Kee, David Ng, Ron Cheung, Andrew Coates and Asa Louis.

Apple Alliance Computer Club

I belonged to a user group for the Apple ][ computer called the "Apple Alliance". I ran it for a few years until around this time in 1989, where Macintoshes took foothold. Even to this date, 15 years later, I am still using Apple to write this web page...

My old room being used for one of the user group meetings.

A typical user meeting where we all SHARE our ideas and our RESOURCES for the Apple ][. Yeah.....

Even Ron joins the computing action here. I met a lot of my new Vancouver friends from either the "Apple Alliance Club" or the "Vancouver Japanese Animation Club".
